BAM: Beheersmaatschappij Antwerpen Mobiel (Management Company Mobility Antwerp)

In order to improve mobility, traffic safety and quality of life in and around Antwerp, the Flemish Government developed the Masterplan 2020. It enhances the objectives of the Masterplan Mobility Antwerp, as approved by the Flemish Government on 15 December 2000. The Masterplan invests in new roads, tramlines, lightrail, cycling paths as well as in projects to promote transport over inland waterways.

For the completion of the Masterplan and the coordination of the various projects the Flemish Government set up the public limited company Beheersmaatschappij Antwerpen Mobiel (hereinafter referred to as "BAM"). BAM was set up for an indefinite period and became operational on 15 September 2003.
